1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Debtlify mobile application and website at debtlify.vercel.app(together, the "Services"). By downloading, installing, or using Debtlify, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. The service
Debtlify helps you track personal debts, bills, group expense splits, and related personal finance activity. Most data you enter is stored locally on your device. Optional cloud features sync some data when you create an account and use shared groups or profile features.
Debtlify is a personal finance tool, not a bank, lender, payment processor, or financial advisor. We do not provide financial, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter and for decisions you make based on it.
3. Subscriptions and purchases
Debtlify offers optional paid plans ("Debtlify Premium" or "Pro") through Apple In-App Purchase. Available products may include:
- Debtlify Pro Monthly — auto-renewing subscription, billed every 1 month.
- Debtlify Pro Annual — auto-renewing subscription, billed every 1 year.
- Debtlify Pro Lifetime — one-time, non-renewing purchase.
Prices are shown in the app before you confirm a purchase and may vary by region and currency. Apple processes all payments. We use RevenueCat to validate entitlements and link subscription status to your account when you are signed in.
3.1 Auto-renewing subscriptions
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current price.
You can manage or cancel auto-renewing subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iOS, or the App Store subscriptions page). If you cancel, Premium access continues until the end of the paid period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time except where required by law or Apple's policies.
3.2 Free trials and promotions
If Apple or Debtlify offers a free trial or promotional price, eligibility and billing terms are shown at purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
3.3 Restore purchases
You may restore previously purchased Premium access using Restore purchases in the app. Restore is tied to the Apple ID used for the original purchase.
4. Accounts
You may use many features without an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Your data
You retain ownership of content you enter into Debtlify. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Services (for example, to sync shared group data when you use cloud features). See our Privacy Policy for how we collect, use, and protect information.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of important data. Local data may be lost if you delete the app or clear app data unless you have exported or synced it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes;
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Services or related systems;
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation;
- Upload malware or interfere with other users' access.
7. Intellectual property
Debtlify, its logos, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding except as needed to use the Services as intended.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DEBTLIFY AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, limits apply to the fullest extent allowed.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Services. Sections that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive termination.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the effective date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
